I Will Rob Peter and Pay You, Paul – Everything You Want To Know About This Scam Called MMM

mmm scam in Nigeria

by RONALD NZIMORA

In 2001, I was a starry eyed University student, who was desirous of making it big in life and becoming rich.

I was looking for businesses opportunities that would make me a lot of money. I tried different things.

In 2003, November to be precise, I stumbled on internet marketing, through Success Digest magazine.

Over the next few years I would try almost everything published in the paper – affiliate marketing, information marketing, Google Adsense, you name it.

In 2006, one particular money-making scheme came up which attracted hordes of fans. That scheme was/is known as HYIP.

What’s a HYIP? It’s called a High Yield Investment Programme.

Basically how it works is this:

You put in some money, and then every day or week, or month, depending on the particular HYIP website you registered with, you would earn a percentage, maybe 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 50% and even 100% again depending on the HYIP site.

It looked so easy. Just put in money and wait for sometime and bam! You get a percentage.

It looked too good to be true but nothing tried, nothing gained, right? So I gathered my school feeding money and bought eGold (remember them?) worth $50 and “invested”.

The following week, my money had “grown” to $100. My HYIP company paid 100% of your money every week. My oh my! I was totally sold!

Now to make more money, I needed to reinvest my money which was now $100 which I promptly did. The following week, I had $200.

Gaddem!

So I went round school preaching this stuff. I even preached it far more than the guy who introduced it to me. I got others to “invest” and with each investment they did, I was scheduled to be paid a 10% “commission bonus” for the referral.

I went looking for more money to borrow to invest because my thinking was, if I had gotten $200 with just $50 in two weeks, imagine how much I would get if I invested $500!

The guy who introduced me to it went to his Mum, borrowed her retirement gratuity and invested another =N=500,000, roughly about $5,000 then!

That week he had earned $13,000 including commissions!

Shit!

I could see my riches coming. My dream cars, my beach house. I prayed to God morning and evening thanking him for remembering me.

It was like a blessing for everyone, and naturally people poured into this scheme.

One day, I got a call from Nonso, the guy who invited me. He sounded desperate, his voice shaky as he asked me if I had checked my HYIP account. I said no.

“What’s the problem, I asked?”

“I can’t see the money in my account anymore”, he said. “My money is gone.”

When he said that, I felt my heart sink, my stomach turned and I suddenly felt sick. If I remember correctly, I think I pissed a little hot urine on myself.

“Where are you?” I asked. He was at a cybercafe town, so I jumped into a bus and went to meet him.

As I was logging into my own account, my mouth was dry but my account opened!

“Ah! Thank God” I said.

Anyways, Nonso had requested for the HYIP company to send him $7,000 out of his $13,000 which was perfectly okay to do. You were allowed to request a payout anytime you want, between Monday – Friday.

However, after he had placed the request, he logged in a few days later, and his balance was no longer there. It had been wiped out. In fact the page that showed your account was no longer opening.

“It must be something wrong with your account I said. Have you emailed them?” He had emailed, but got no reply. Called the numbers on the website, but they were not going through.

So I placed a payout request of $100, and suddenly, my own account balance was wiped out.

Sweat started forming on my brows. I refresh the page again and again, still the same thing. The account balance page was no longer opening.

We went back to school hoping that things would change. It didn’t. It took me several days to come to terms with the fact that my $200 abi $50 was gone forever.

Someone in Iran, Russia, Ukraine, only God knows where had taken my money and it was gone.

Nonso’s mother’s gratuity was gone. All the monies by those I introduced? Gone! I and Nonso became almost like outcasts in the school. Nobody wanted to deal with us anymore as far as business was concerned. We were blamed for the con.

Why am I telling you this story?

Because lately, I have been receiving offers from people to promote a ponzi scheme called MMM.

They tell me it’s a business. That it works. That people have been paid money, blah blah blah.

I want to use this piece to write an article and wash my hands off this matter once and for all.

MMM is a ponzi scheme. Simple and short. I have been in business long enough to smell a scam from a thousands miles away, and this one is a big scam.

It’s the return of the HYIP days of 2006.

Ponzi scams reinvent themselves every few years, change their name, wear “new clothes” and come out as the newest best thing since sliced bread.

In 2008, they returned as wonder banks – Nospetco, Gradual Investments, etc. In 2010 it was Clickviral. In 2012 – 2013, it was “Oil and Gas Investment” companies. Today it’s MMM.

MMM is a scam. It is not a real business.

A real business has A PRODUCT to SELL, a product that adds value to the person buying it. There’s an EXCHANGE of value between both sides – the buyer and the seller.

MMM doesn’t have that. Rather it “pays” you a “commission” to refer people. Where does it get the money to pay these commissions? For how long can this be sustained?

What product does MMM sell? Why does an “investor” take his money and “gift” it to some stranger, and then wait for someone else to choose him and also “gift” him too?

If you don’t get someone to choose you, then you wait and your money “grows”? Grows? How so? With fertilizer? Where will MMM get the money to pay you this percentage from? Will they steal it?

The most alarming thing about this stuff is this mysterious program is based in Russia. Russia? Are you kidding me? Anyone who knows anything knows that Russia is a country full of murderous mobsters who run illegal gambling operations, money laundering and prostitution rings.

They have since forever created similar programs to mop money up, transfers their illegal funds and pay off people to kill their rivals.

Are you unknowingly helping support a Russia mafia boss and putting innocent people in danger while perpetrating money laundering, illegal gambling and prostitution?

I will not be surprised if the EFCC swoops on the people who run these and guess who they will come after? Yes you the big gun who is pushing this everywhere.

And no, you cannot blame Buhari for your misfortune when it happens.

Frankly, it amazes me that people who should be knowledgeable are pimping this MMM stuff.

It’s a scam. And it will collapse like all ponzis do. It’s just a matter of time. If you really care about your audience and want their good, not just money that will enter your pocket by doing a seminar, then you will NEVER promote that shit.

It speaks volumes about the mentality of the general masses that they always gravitate towards a business “opportunity” that requires, “no work” and no “effort”.

NEWSFLASH: The only way to make money is to actually provide something of value to another person in exchange for cash, not to give someone money and then wait for another person to give you.

What nonsense is that?

This is my last say about this MMM and similar cash gifting programs. I do not want any part of it. I do not wish to receive any further enquiry about it from anybody.

And please, next time before you come into my inbox with some frivolous questions about a program, do me and you a favour, fire up Google and do some research about it FIRST.

Thank you.

P.S. Please permission is granted to share this post if you want to.

Blessings.

You are annoyed about this expose article because it won’t allow you to pull people into the net of this scam. Well, I am not like you. You can make it if only you are ready to provide help to someone somewhere. MMM is never a scam. I did more than you are doing right now, but see me now, change everywhere.

MMM Nigeria came in just at the right time. A time of serious hardship. My testimony alone is enough to birth more success stories. Every member is a beneficiary and trust me, we are happy to help and be helped.

Toyin, open your mind, go anonymous, try this one. You can always reach me via email.

Seriously, I don’t result to throwing insults at people online, but I really feel like giving you an ‘ugly’ dressing down right now.

Just screenshot what you’ve typed now and keep it for future references.

Let me spell something clearly to you. That you didn’t make hundreds of thousands online after trying doesn’t mean others are not doing it. Mr. Ronald and Toyin Omotoso have hordes of students killing it online. So go back and figure for yourself why you failed. And while at it purge yourself off the bitterness and anger you harbor in your heart.

Its better you follow advice of the elder. Where is telexfree today? I can bet it with you this mmm wont last till december.

People like Toyin are in the best position to make more money from this program if its actually real, considering the 10% he will be making from deposit of anyone he refer and I am very sure he will not need to spend a kobo on advertisement b4 making close to one million naira as referral bonus alone.

      and lastly;

In the aftermath at least 50 investors, having lost all of their money (in mmm), committed suicide. Read detail https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MMM_(Ponzi_scheme_company)

“We regret to inform you that we have to close down the Republic of Bitcoin. A friend shared this with me only yesterday. And my first question jolted him…I had asked..How does the company get the money to pay the interest and commission since you didn’t pay any amount to register and who started giving out the first money to be paid interest on. In fact I immediately told him it’s a ponzi scheme that’s leading nowhere and quite frankly this is an ex-banker knowledgeable enough to decipher and discern scam but unfortunately he is desperate to make quick cash.

It is well, I just hope people learn their lessons early enough. The problem here is, an average Nigerian is mentally lazy and would not even ask questions, where required. Even to visit the free University (Google), where you don’t pay too much for, becomes a problem. There is no free lunch even in free town.

Conservativeness go kill us in this part of the world. Even those selling products fold up too e.g Tiansi, swisgarde etc where are they today. So leave people. The fact that you fail does not mean other must fail. Even when you and friend failed did you die, no life must continue. And the company state clearly that only you spare money so if you carry your mother gratuity then you are greedy and deserved to be duped

    informative article…Thanks for sharing!
The fact that large group of people are benefiting from a particular business or website does not qualify such business as a legitimate one! So to speak, mmm is not an exception of a good and legitimate business for anyone. Since, they (mmm) can pay large commissions and bonuses to their converts or participants monthly, then what prevent them not to have a security certificates like SSL and BBB or NCC license on their website, as to enable them manage and protect the information of their participants from hackers….Though security certificates are not enough.

      Posted July 21, 2016 7:37 am 0Likes

As much as I would have loved to keep silent, I felt its best I speak. Ignorance happens to be the biggest disease plaguing Nigerians and Africans in huge proportions. In fact, its killing far more than Malaria. If you haven’t done your research properly, do not comment. The website is nigeria-mmm.net. The account login page is mmmoffice.com.

Check and verify your SSL claims.

Once again, do not speak out of ignorance because most Nigerians do just that [PS: APC & The Change Mantra]. Speak with quality research done and evidence to show for it. Until I see that in this post or the primary article itself, I won’t give both this article and its author the publicity they doesn’t deserve but desperately seek.

      • by Toyin
        Posted July 21, 2016 7:53 am 0Likes

The publicity that they desperately seek? You are one funny person. How many publicity do you think I need to get all the thousands of people who are reading this to land on this page?

So, you think because a well organized scam has a website and a login page, that makes it real? Even my teenage cousin can put up a good looking website and login in days. But if you think I am ignorant, no problem. Everyone has the rights to their opinion and this expose article is only an advice. You can choose to pay attention to it or wait till the pain of regret comes kicking.

P.S: I didn’t even know it is a .net domain. Lol

There is a line that people are not mindful about in this article and that was what I told the person who was trying to recruit me. The question is how are you sure you are not sponsoring a drug trafficking ring and when they are busted, your name will be in their database as one of their sponsors list. I can’t imagine people gifting money to people they don’t know from Adam, and expecting the matchmakers to pay them 30% interest on money they did not touch. Where did the interest materialize from. A word is enough for the wise!

Sincerely speaking, I have lost MILLIONS of naira to these kind of schemes, and I am not afraid of losing more. What pains me is the agony of the people I referred to them. So, even if I would risk my money with them again, I will NEVER refer anybody to them again! Once again, THANK YOU so much!

I didn’t mean to make any comment on tthis but for the sake of those who don’t take sincere warnings for what they are, I would share a personal experience to prove Mr. Toyin’s position on MMM Nigeria or wherever.
A friend introduced a con site packaged as an investment one to me towards the end of last year, 2015. The site was called Obofunds. It was operated in a way that is a bit different from MMM by activating your ffunds how a particular way on a daily basis with various percentage of interest based on the plan you chose and amount that was started with.
When it was first introduced to me and then saw it as a good way to make cool money, I quickly went to their site to read about them. I as well sent them emails to ask questions on what seemed unknown to me about how to get money to pay us with. At this point, they got me by telling me a lie that convinced me. In short, I started with $208 and my money grew to almost a thousand dollars within a month. I decided to leave it there for some months so as to yield in geometric progression even when some of my friends where withdrawing parts of theirs. At the end, I couldn’t withdraw my own money, not even a dollar of it. Each time I sent email to them to ask for why I couldn’t withdraw my money, it was reason upon reason. None of the reasons was genuine. They even asked us who were victims with thousands of dollars there to pay hundreds of dollars again to have our money released. That was how I and others lost our money.

it is a pity that you are judging from your failure, look l have also lost money on the Internet but that doesn’t mean I won’t still take risk, I didn’t relent in risk taking that is why I am now free financially, while people are making million you are there nagging. MMM is changing the world and has changed many life’s, the ideology is to crush world unfair financial system by simply providing help and getting help with your spare money. I think the system is not for greedy person like you toyin!! so stay clear and mind your business and let the. mavrodian keep changing the world.

Honestly speaking i was to shocked to receive a mail from Prof Fivver Adetunji Gbolagade that himself and Olaide Alim had invested 1M each as they expects to earn 1. 3M after 30 day, therefore earning 30% of thier initial investement, As an Invesment Analyst i have been able to define and differentiate between an Investment and Business in a a more simple term, i have had friends in the past and even early this year who have invested in ponzi scam such as MMM, lemme share one ot two that was rocking the internent seriously (www.antlainv.com) and (www.obofunds.com) they are all HYIP (high yield investment Program) which are termed as total scam.. @Toyin Omotoso you have spoken well, just like thw holy writ said and i quote ” he that heareth, let him be adjudged”

Point of correction. MMM is NOT a business. It is not an investment, neither is it a KYIP, MLM or whatever u mentioned up there. The members who invited you do not even understand it. They happen to be, to me, the bad eggs in the system for not studying the real ideology of MMM before diving into it. MMM operates a peer to peer transfer of money to provide help to someone in the community. I took out time to test this system before becoming a member, I have never seen it before.

Omotoso, you have the right to information, and as an information person, I expect you to do more findings. Deep one at that before soiling the hearts and mind of your readers in abject shallowness. I give you one month of try, to come back here and regret posting this notes on the internet.

Did you consider the many farmers, traders, retirees, cooperators, the common man who have been liberated financially since they joined MMM? No! You care more about selling your blog!

I guess we should have a one on one talk.

Soling the heart and minds of my readers in abject shallowness? Hahahaha.

Peer to peer transfer of money?

Wait! Are we talking about the same money here?

And sorry sir. I don’t need to have a one on one talk with you.

Any wise person knows how ponzi scams work. It just comes in different forms.

But since you want the easy money, you can keep your MMM to yourself and when you make your millions from the mmm scheme, feel free to enjoy it.

      Rubbish!

I have read your highly responsible presentations, alongside with some remarks from other commentators. My honest submission is that, in all matters of life, there are two types of people – the SIMPLE and the PRUDENT, e.g.:–
The SIMPLE chooses to believe everything or anything brought to him without finding out more on it’
    The PRUDENT takes time to check or verify before concluding to take action;
    The SIMPLE leaps before looking; but the PRUDENT looks before leaping;
    The SIMPLE takes any type of risk at all, but the PRUDENT takes calculated risks only;
    The SIMPLE believes in immediate gains; but the PRUDENT believes in delayed gratification;
The SIMPLE does not mind losing funds; but the PRUDENT cares so much about that.
Eventually, the SIMPLE may become gullible or naive; but the PRUDENT remains conservative & wise!

Just for the records, I admired Aizik’s contribution & link so much; because therein, he (or she) has given every Nigerian that cares to listen a warning to pay attention to the last sentence in that link. And for emphasis, I’d like to quote that sentence here verbatim: “In 2016, MMM launched a website targeting the Nigerian audience”. Maybe, this may make some people who had hitherto chosen to be SIMPLE to now change their course of thinking and actions towards being PRUDENT.
Finally, If you permit me to go a bit sipiritual, please, let me refer us to the following Passages from the Holy Bible:-

    1. Proverbs 14:15: The simple believes everything, but the prudent gives thought to his steps.
    2. Proverbs 14:18: The naive inherit foolishness, But the sensible are crowned with knowledge.
    3. 2 Timothy 4:3-4: For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.
    4. Proverbs 1:22: “How long will you gullible people love being so gullible? How long will you mockers find joy in your mocking? How long will you fools hate knowledge?
    5. Proverbs 27:12: A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself; but the simple pass on, and are punished.
    6. Proverbs 22:3: The prudent see danger and take refuge, but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.
    7. Proverbs 1:32: “For the waywardness of the naive will kill them, And the complacency of fools will destroy them.
(I want to believe that similar texts will also be contained in the Holy Quran too)!
So, let me conclude by quoting an age-long axiom: “A Word Is Enough For The Wise”
    Thanks for reading!

I read this on Ronald’s wall yesterday and even shared it cos i’ve friends that have been asking me to join, I want them to know that it is a NO from me. This is just an advise from me, now that people now know the real meaning of this MMM, I Bet it, they wont last up to the time they set for themselves now. The number of people join in them will reduce drastically, which will surely reduce their way of getting new fund, not getting new fund will affect their payment, not being able to meet up with payment will ultimately led to closing down, cos the owners will also what to take some funds away. Dont forget, they dont have any business they are using the money for, they are just recycling your money.

This is an interesting and an amazing piece!

However, I’ve been very active in MMM for the past 3 months, and all I can say is that I have been wowed! It has also been working.

What makes it work is the fact that
    1. There is no central account to pay to, so nobody can run away with your money. The people you pay to are like you; cashing out their help (investment) and those that pay you are providing help…

    2. There is no fixed amount to start with; you can do as low as N1000, as a matter of fact, you are ADVISED TO DO IT WITH YOUR SPARE MONEY.

I understand your point of view perfectly well, Ive been following Toyin since 2006, seen the ups and downs, the losses and the successes…however, time will tell…

If it fails, I will be part of those that says I made a huge money out of it…but do I regret being a part of it? No!!

I’m enjoying every part of the MMM journey so far…

Meanwhile, MMM doesn’t mandate you to bring anybody in! If you like spread the word, if you like, don’t…nothing happens to you!

What makes it different from all other schemes is the fact that you are not getting $70 today, then $500 next month and all those stupid geometrical progressive permutations…no…

You get your 30% on whatever you invest. Period…no second or 3rd month!

      If u do 10k this month, u get 13k next month…if u do 50k d second month, u get 65k…if by your 3rd month you do 5k, u get 6,500k….you get ur 30% as you put.

However, it’s your decision Ook…just enlightening us.

Toyin, thanks for the write up. You have made your point. Whatever transaction with nothing exchanged, obviously, something is wrong. He who have ears, let him hear… Until you get your fingers burnt, you won’t heed. Go do legitimate business. “Aje a gbe wa o”

I did not read your whole write-up, neither do I know everything about mmm. However, for the interest of those who had burnt their hand like myself, stay away from any pyramid scheme. especially if their is no tangible product to sell. In any pyramid, few people winners on top of the pyramid (APEX)| are usually seen and used for promso, while thousands or even millions of losers are lying frustrated and ignored at the base. I have been deeply involved in them overs decades that I wont hesitate to advice struggling Nigerians to analyse deeply into how the Company or association will make the money their money before they will pay you. NOTHING IS FREE even in Freetown.
Please Note: I have not called any particular network business SCAM. My advice is just general, knowing how hard the economy is and how the losers will feel after. THINK before you LEAP

You are so right…the truth is, every form of MLM businesses work, as I’m sure Toyin himself is into one (I’m also into 2 “genuine” ones)….however, MMM is not an MLM scheme..

And of a truth, I prefer it to the previous 2 I am active in…

Joe, if you’re the same Joe I know then let me ask u a very simple question:

Must there be a product for the venture to be called business? If there is then what would u call forex? Whats the product or even service. Plz enlighten me because as long as I’m alive, i’d be willing to read your thoughts on that.

You see Joe, we live be in the 21st century and not just knowledge but qualitative knowledge has become abundant and benefitting the prudent.

It’s only the weak and poor risk managers and assessors that would take a cursory glance at a venture and brand it whatever they feel in their hearts.

If you understood MMM, you would thank the person who shared it with you and be indebted to such one for the rest of your beautiful life.

My namesake youre even going far. They are yet to know that banks are the greatest scam the earth has ever produced.

In Godfrey Bloom’s words(He is a member of UK Independence Party and a UK Rep to the European union prior to Brexit) “due to the banks buffoonery and chicanery, they put their mistakes on tax payers who pick up the tabs and bear the brunt”

Most of us don’t know that the banks create money out of nothing. Someone should read up on fractional Reserve banking as well as bank run or bank panic.

U don’t buy or sell anything in MMM, just like you don’t buy or sell anything in a typical cooperative or contribution system because that’s just what MMM is: an advanced contribution system. Hmmmmm……. …..!
MORE THAN 10 GOOD REASONS WHY MMM IS REAL AND NOT A SCAM! TOYIN AND FOLLOWERS
1: I have been there for five months now and I have testimonies pls check youtube for confirmation.

2: Over 110,000 participants with good testimonies. Pls confirm that also o youtube

3: No central account, so no one is running away with our money. We deal ourselves directly with a food laid down rules, honesty openness and intergrity!

4: It’s not mandatory for you or anybody join me before I get rewarded with 30% interest for helping a needy in the community!

5: No promises of money doubling like the one Toyin and his followers did, MMM hates greed like you Toyin, maybe greediness made u fell for that then, MMM frowns at greed

6: It’s not MLM, bank, investment company, HYIP nor a get rich scheme like the one Toyin joined and wanted to get rich fast with just 50$! Haba that is greed o!

7: It’s simply a social network for participants to help themselves financially!

8: We use only our spare money to provide help.

9: In MMM, money is not the issue, the point and goal in MMM is creating a world of FAIR FINANCIAL SYSTEM even to the less privileged

10: MMM extends this help to the needy orphans , disabled and motherless babies homes, confirm this also from YouTube, all recorded, you can write down the addresses and travel round Nigeria to ascertain that!

11: MMM is been operating since 2011 in over 11 8 countries, has not failed since then and about celebrating a year in Nigeria by November! Confirm this also from YouTube my dear.

12: In MMM, no boss, no manager, no CEO, no slave, we preach equality.

13: MMM is not scared about criticism, that happens alot to beautiful people with beautiful minds…….. etc
I can go on and on and on with the good works of MMM because nobody amongst the 110,000 participants in MMM has ever complained of being defrauded since it’s started here in Nigeria only, if any problem from the members, then he or she wasn’t honest and MMM cannot withstand that…… DO YOU WANT TO HEAR MORE ON MMM’S GOOD WORKS !!!

sir, thank u for ur concern about mmm nigeria, the questions many people ask is where is the 30% come from simple, mmm is dealing with bitcoin and as am talking to u now bcs of mmm bitcoins is growing high in the market today. mmm+bitcoin is the power engine here, secondly do you know how the owner of facebook is making his money? just ask,the same is also happen here in mmm. i have invested in pongi sheme as u said but here it is not, i have taken my tim e to study this scenerio about mmm.eventhough mmm will not last in nigeria as you said but it has make a lot of nigerians to become financially free, but before it goes as u said let it be that mmm have change the life of nigerians.my advice is invest ur spare money.
in mmm the system take care of e erything, immagine wen u are match with somebody and the person delay payment under 48hours the account block automatically.
have u asked this question..what of if i match with somebody to pay me and the person refuse to pay what happen to my money?

Hi, had a good reading I must say. However would want to say a few things and sorry I said a few things this maybe lengthy kind of.

So lets start with this fact that for serious researchers Wikipedia is not a trusted website and a host of others, most may not know but for some who do that’s a fact.

Inasmuch as your article was noble minded I think we should not commit what logicians call the falacy of hasty generalization that means because it happened in this instance and that instance then it is the same in a new one.

I don’t rely on Wikipedia but let me base my thoughts on Aizik’s reference to the article on Wikipedia.

Now after reading that article my first question is this: if the intent of MMM was a ponzi scheme to defraud people of their money since 1994 and am using that year as a base line (since MMM according to Wikipedia was founded in 1989) don’t you think that tactic or this form would have been obsolete by 2016 especially when a large populace would have known of it?

According to the website MMM started with importing computers & office equipment an endeavor that crashed as a result of “AN ACCUSATION” by the tax police for tax evasion and not because there was an internal mismanagement or diversion of funds or fraud from the internal staffers of MMM but based on an ACCUSATION, an external factor that led to the crash of the MMM Bank for the first time.

With the physics principle of “Cause and Effect” its only sensible that such a situation would cause negative balance into their Biz.

After this crash this man tried other ventures but to no avail until 1994 where he started something now known or referred to in Nigeria as MMM Nigeria.

The Wikipedia website itself states and I quote “it is unclear whether a ponzi scheme was Mavrodi’s (Mavrodi is the founder of MMM Nigeria) initial intention”. If the man wanted to dupe people as at 1994 would that intention not been so manifest that even Wikipedia would not have a single doubt or second guessing?

Well MMM grew rapidly according to the site as it began reporting 1000% as profits and dividends to its subscribers and since it was not listed on the Russian Stock Exchange MMM determined its own share price which guaranteed its steady growth rate to thousands of percent annually.

If MMM was a ponzi scheme and MMM wanted to defraud this point was the best to have taken people’s money and disappear.

It’s risky not taking a risk. Like Sergio will advice, use only your free money to ‘Provide Help’ so if anything happens you can move on.

MMM IS NOT A SCAM yet.

The bonuses, and 30% turn-over that accumulate on a member’s account is paid by another member when he request ‘Get Help’. So mmm is actually not paying anyone any cash. Members are giving each other cash.

My concern is how mmm itself makes money since there is no central account? some say through Google Adsense.

While I’m yet to figure out how mmm makes money to manage its servers, websites, staff etc, I will continue in the system with ‘spare cash’ having an exit strategy for I know mmm will crash soon.

Toyin is just afraid because it won’t be business as usual. Toyin encourages a slave society, toyin is part of that system. How many people can your program helped mmm is here to keep u out of business because u won’t have anyone to waste his or her time clicking your half infos. Mmm has over 200 million members if it falls it will rise again, we in mmm school will make sure it works, check the testimonies. Your unreal program is for the few educated ones but. Mmm is for all. Mmm is bigger than any bank and more secure than your so call internet fruad, mmm doesn’t give guarantee bicus there is nothing as such, everything will melt away one day. In mmm you are thought that money does not have value so there you don’t need it stock in your house or bank let it be distributed. Just take ur time and read the ideology, money is not the issue in mmm. Toyin what is money?

Mmm is the most open and truthful program I have ever seen, toyin ur program is no way near mmm. Mmm has come and proved itself. I have been following you for a while but, when I was blessed with mmm I dumped u because u r full of deceits.

Mmm has never promised to enrich anyone but make sure money should not be the reason you should steal or unable to pay ur bills or send your children to school, money is just a colorful paper used to defraud us and nobody therefore should be a slave to it. In mmm money is in distribution today u give help tomorrow you get helped by someone in the community. There no boss no CEO no manager we preaches equality, but toyin believes in the system of master and slave and mmm forbids that.

Most “legal businesses” like banks, stock brokers, discount houses have had little or no impact in the lives of the common man, in fact they made life More difficult for Nigerians by charging exorbitant interest for loans given but pay you a miserable interest for depositing your money with them, who is fraudulent here? We enrich the banks with our deposit, that is why bankers live comfortably more than those who supply the funds, Which do you prefer? A “legal business” that has been in existence for years with no impact to the lives of its citizenry or one that is termed by you as “illegal” but has changed lives and making impact. The problem that many Nigeria have is. They want to make money without work.
Though have not try if the MMM is okay, but i believed if you are making your own cool cash you dont need that. It may be difficult to make money online as what some people claimed. But if you get good information from good source. You will surely not need MMM or whatever.

When i created a free online training on How to make money with clickbank using free blogspot, many people used to ask me if they can only be making a post on their blog in the whole month. Can you imagine, these set of people are jobless ooo, and they want to make money online.

So, is better to do what is the best than to do the business you will wake up one day and is closed down, hypertension will kill such a person.

But why is this “business” shrouded in a lot of secrecy in spite of the many testimonies of “it works, I got paid, it has changed lives” etc.
Can the owners and operators be physically uncovered?
MMM came to Nigeria as MMM-Global. Shortly after it changed to MMM-Nigeria because of the international stigma attached to Mavrodi.
Why is this “business” not registered in Nigeria with a business name, nature, memat, business address, ownership, shareholding, and all that?
Is MMM a banking, investment or financial business? If no, why is it collecting deposits and paying interest contrary to the Banking Act?
Two more vital questions that their “investors” can not ask nor answer:
    1. What is the interest of the founders of this self-help, peer-to-peer scheme and how are they being remunerated or rewarded? Are they so altruistic? Not in the gene of a core capitalist like Mavrodi.
    2. Where is the interest being paid generated from?
There should be morality in business. It’s not all about “I have made it” but how. Can you, in all honesty defend this sudden riches before God and man? Can we also recommend or pass it on to our children?
As a business guider you should be able to exhaustively take on all enquirers and convince them. The philosophy of “leave-that-thing, make-your-money-first” smacks of illiteracy in this age of knowledge.

Toyin, I completely disagree with you on this one write-up of yours about MMM. You are not correct on this your assertions. They are completely wrong, no single truth and no light in it. There’s nothing scamming about MMM. It is one of the most genuine internet income generating programmes i have ever seen. As against your claims, MMM does not collect a dime from any participant. It is only a Community of like-minded people who have agreed to give help to one another. No any purse of MMM. So, please don’t say or write about what you don’t know.

It’s big scam. MMM Global Nigeria is a fraud, and I’m writing a comprehensive report on a Nigerian who has llost over #500,000 to Mmm.

For who are still trying mmm with small amount and campaigning that it’s real should try and invest huge amount to verify how mmm operates in its tactics to defraud Nigerians who want cheap money with little or no effort.

Are the so-called legal operators e.g banks, microfinance and so on not folding up?
So , all is about risk. Society general bank folded without paying all of their customers. Life is all about risk. Mmm is real.

A lot of them are no where to be found while Toyin Omotosho’s business is still flourishing 5 years after MMM went down the drain. Toyin Omotosho has made more millionaires in the space between through his Training program.
